ASL immersion week

The end of June I flew to Minn. for a 5 day No ENGLISH! excursion. This was to immprove my signing skills and help me pass tests at work so i can get pay raises and higher certifications at work. Also lets not forget 5 days away from the family is an adventure any mom would love! (Just so you know i cheated I can't go 5 days without talking!) We got to go to the Mall of America, the Museum of something!! (a big one in Minneapolis), and a zoo. It was a lot of fun we would have workshops in the morning then in the afternoon we would work with Deaf Mentors to apply the skills we had learned in a hands on fun enviroment in the afternoon on the field trips.

So pictures taken while i am Interpreting are not so pretty!!! But it sure gives a lot of good laughs for you to see! I am interpreting for the seal feeding time.

For those who dont know yet!!

We are expecting a BABY in June! Yes i know we are crazy going back to baby land but here we go. The kids call the Baby GUMMY! like a Gummy bear cause i was describing it to them as that to explain the size when we first told them. I Will let you know if it is a Girl or a Boy when we know. Here comes a new Moon into the world! :)

Well I have done it again!

I am a little obsessed with doing things in the right order when it is connected to scrapbooking and journal entries so i want to post about each thing in our lives in the CORRECT order! Well now i have waited so long i dont know if i can remember it all or even the right order which makes me not want to even post them!!! Wait i just remembered i wrote most of the big things on a calender!! okay here is a list of all my posts i need to do and the order so that i know and will get it done!!

Part of my problem is we have a desktop and a laptop now so i have some pictures on one and not the other so i always am working with the one that doens't have the right pictures when i need it! So in other words i am lazy and need as many excuses as i can get!! :)

More Bird funeral!

Bird's Funeral

This should be a sad post but i just laugh thinking about the story i am about to write!!!!

One summer day our kids are outside playing with the neighbor kids and i go out to see what is going on. and they tell me they found a bird so they want to put it in a container and then take it to the neighbors and bury it in their yard. I think fine whatever! Then the kids proceed to plan a funeral for the bird (Cutie!) so we could all mourn the loss of this great bird (which they found dead!!) So Adrea makes invitations for a bunch of neighbors and we go around and deliver them and invite people to come to the funeral 7pm at our house. Then i teach the kids the normal happenings at a funeral. Well about 7ish we decide to let the kids do their funeral.

Adrea made up a song Shane did the life sketch. We even had a prayer to start it!

Zion's & Bryce National Parks

I got to go camping with the Doncouse & Bowden family's for 4 days this June. It was sooooo much fun getting to know everyone better and to kick back and relax after work was done. We stayed in Pinquitch, UT and then day trips into Zion's, Bryce, Kolob, for hikes and exploration. The kids did great on the hikes we were doing lengths of 3 miles for 2 of the hikes. Scott didn't get to come because someone needs to work so we can pay the bills!! here are some pics from the adventure.

Happy Anniversary!

Well June 1st was our 2nd anniversary Scott sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers with red roses in them for the first time ever sending me RED roses i was so excited he has always said he wont give me RED just to be a pest to me. So we think a date by ourselves is kind of boring so we took the kids and a friend (Julie) to the movies with us! We watched "UP" 3-D and we all loved it.

National Rocky Road Day

June 2nd is National Rocky Road day so i tried to get Scott to take us off roading on a rocky road he seemed to think it meant Ice Cream! Why not both?? But we did decide to just eat the ice cream here are the pictures from our fun night!

April Fools

Well the Peas were rolled up laffy taffy and the sushi was fruit roll up wrapped around rice krispie treats with a worm in it! and the dessert was meatloaf with mashed potatoes on top to look like chocolate cake with strawberry frosting!! the kids loved it and can't wait for next year!!

Yard work!!!!

Well last year we did nothing outside but let our yard get overtaken with weeds and almost kill everything!! so this year we had a ton of work to do to try and save and change things!


building a new retaining wall which we were not planning on doing and dug out wayyyyyyyy to many rocks in the process and now we are stuck with a ton of rocks, and no where to put them!!

This used to be grass and we didn't want to pay to install the sprinkler to it so we dug it out and moved the pea gravel from the "garden area" and then put a couple of the rocks from the retaining wall!




This is a project for the front flower bed the kids both picked one color of paint and then we painted the wood and cut to length then made a zig zag garden in front the has half flowers and half garden. I will take a picture when it is growning more and i can tell what is weeds or flowers then i can take a picture! I worry the kids got a hold of the wild flowers and scattered them in the garden part so i want to see what it is before i yank it all up!!

Suicide or Exhilarating??

My friend and i decided to set out on an adventure of.......... Running a half marathon!!!! We want to just cross the finish line by either running, walking, crawling!!! We thought this would be beneficial in many ways. So here we go!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone who wants to join us on this adventure please do!! The more the merrier!

I know some of you are worried cause of my heart but i do have approval from the doctor and things to watch for so i do not push to fast to soon! And so far the first few days are feeling great.

Also my good friend Cindy and her husband are workout FREAKS!!! :) *i love you two!!* So i called them to get some training tips and they gave me the website http://www.runnersworld.com/ which has been helping me tons!!

Savings!!

so my good friend Melanie always posts pictures and explains her savings from her coupon shopping so i decided to do a few too!! This was 2 weeks ago

This all cost $39 which sometimes i think is a lot but then i have to remind myself i saved about $130 The Toilet paper (3) and the wet wipes (1) alone cost me $17 which means all the food was only $22 and the cereal (2), quaker rice cake items (8), vitamin water (7) were all free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The apple juice is 6 3-packs, danamils there are 6 6-packs and the grown up drinking yougurt are 16 plus 4 cups of noodle and 2 boxes of small pop-tarts, and you can't forget the 2 boxes of zingers!! I think that is all

Last Night and this Mornings adventure!!!

This one has johnson's baby lotion (3), A1 sauce (1), velveeta mac n' cheese (1), capri sun (1), eggs (3) cheese 2 lbs each (2), kids mouth wash which is much needed!!! (1), neosporin spray to go (4), bbq sauce (14) and apple juice tree top (8)!!!! I know that is a ton of bbq sauce but it was really FREE so i just stocked up and i can give some away if i want, or when i start some food storage and emergency prepardness classes for my ward i might give a few away for prizes!! This trip only cost me $22 and saved $100!!! But it gave me 2 extra coupons to use with my next purchase which just happened to be less than 12 hours after this one!!

So i pretty much paid for the 2-cheeses and 3 of the 4 neosporins and the rest would be free if i had paid full price for those 5 things!!!!

Okay we are going to make this one a game---- I will tell you what i bought and you tell me your guess for cost (if i have already told you then you can't play sorry!!!)
4-boxes of kelloggs cereal 2-betty crocker potatoes
2-suddenly pasta salad 1-8 oz shreaded cheese
1-pillsbury cinnamon rolls 2-philadelphia cream cheese
8 big boxes of pop tarts 1-green giants steamers veggies

P.S. I did pay money, my husband guessed free for everything and he was wrong!!

Chocolate!!!

As many of you know my family loves to make homemade chocolates during the Christmas season. Well this year i wanted to show scott how big the chocolate is in a picture so these are the results of my mom grandma and i breaking into the good stuff!!

Easter!

i know this is late but what do you all expect from me!!! :) We had a good Easter this year. We went to idaho (surprise surprise i know) and got to spend time with all the families!! here are a few pictures from the adventures

Soccer mom!!

It is official i am a soccer mom!!! yay!! We tried to get both the kids in but we could only get Adrea in this season so i get to cheer her on from the sidelines and try to keep Shane safe!! She is doing great and has already scored 1 goal and is just trying to score again she loved it when she scored!

Surgery

Everything went great thanks for all the prayers and kind words. I feel great. I am tired but not on any pain meds. I should be better than normal in about 1 month!! Thanks to all the family and friends who helped us during this time!
